Pula Arena, or Colosseum, is one of the city's many highlights and attractions. Pula has a lot to offer and is an attractive destination for city sightseeing travellers and a great activity to escape the lazy beach holiday for a day.

Pulas centre is beautiful. The old buildings, which carry so much history, are well preserved.

White limestone is everywhere, giving the city a Mediterranean flair. Multiple restaurants and souvenir shops are available for the numerous tourists who visit this wonderful city on the coast each year, from Fine Dining to Biergarten delight with blasting music or delicious cocktail nights with merengue and salsa beats.

The Pula Arena is incredible, a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, which is one of the world's best-preserved. To witness its stunning and historic architecture, you can get tickets for 10 € per person; the opening hours are something like 8am-8pm.

What I was blown away by: my visit happened to be during the film festival. I arrived by boat, saw the festival advertisement, and shortly re-adjusted my plans to stay for an unforgettable night, accompanied by the amazing Theatre.  We snacked on Popcorn and enjoyed a fantastic evening in this stunning place. I remember stepping in, late as always and for no particular reason, in awe. The arched windows were lit with pink, and blue lights - a massive open-air screen set up, and the first movie had already started. I hurried to a free seat and sucked in all the magic that unfolded right in front of me, not knowing that more films would follow and carry me into the world of romance, theatre and art.

Don't worry, it's not too late to experience a fantastic open-air show like this, as there are many gatherings at the Pula Arena, including concerts, Film nights, and much more.

In 2026, the Arena Hosts Parni Valjak, David Byrne, Moby, Lenny Kravitz, Kraftwerk, Sting, Pula Film Festival, Ballet and much more.
